A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical but stable condition after being struck by a car near Municipal Stadium on Watertown Avenue. The incident occurred around 7:15 PM, coinciding with the kickoff for the Wilby High School game against Derby. The driver and passenger of the vehicle, a 75-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman, stayed at the scene and were unharmed. The teen’s current condition has been described as life-threatening by hospital staff. Police have not confirmed whether the boy was heading to the game at the time of the accident.
