A battle between high pressure and remnants of Helene is taking place over Southern New England, leading to cloudy conditions over the weekend but keeping most shower activity to the south. Widespread showers are not expected, but scattered showers are possible, with the best chance in southwestern Connecticut. The remnants of Helene will bring the best opportunity for showers on Wednesday as a cold front approaches, bringing moisture to the northeast.
