Stamford-based organization Americares is sending a response team to Florida to support health needs in the affected areas in the aftermath of the storm. They plan to deliver medicine and relief supplies to those in need. The U.S. Director of Emergency Response at Americares, Mariel Fonteyn, emphasized the importance of providing help to those most affected by the storm.
Travelers are advised to check with their airline carriers for any changes to their itineraries if they or their loved ones are traveling from Florida. With Hurricane Helene approaching, it is essential to stay informed and prepared for any disruptions in travel plans caused by the storm.
