The Newington community is coming together to honor the memory of a 12-year-old girl who passed away in early August. The “Run for Regan” event will be held at the Newington High School track on Sunday. The event was organized by Newington High School students Gianna Galante and Maya Lecuivre, who are friends with Regan’s sister, Morgan. Local police and businesses have also contributed to the event.
Regan was remembered as a kind individual, and her favorite color was pink. The town has already shown its support by lighting up buildings in pink lights. Regan’s mother, Martins, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from the community during this difficult time.
The organizers have set a goal of raising $10,000 to support the Martins family. Gianna Galante emphasized the importance of showing support and love to the family during this challenging time. The event is a tribute to Regan’s kind spirit and will serve as a way for the community to come together to remember her.
The “Run for Regan” event not only honors a young life lost too soon but also showcases the compassion and unity within the Newington community. This event is a testament to the love and support that surrounds the Martins family during this difficult time.
