Candlelight Vigil Held in Middletown to Honor Victims of Plane Crash

A vigil was held in Middletown to mourn the victims of a deadly plane crash in Vermont, including a teacher and student from Middletown High School. Delilah Van Ness, her mother Susan Van Ness, teacher Paul Pelletier, and pilot Frank Rodriguez died in the crash on their way back from brunch in Vermont. The Middletown community came together to remember Delilah as a brilliant and bright young girl with a promising future. The school was closed in their honor.

Delilah and Pelletier were working on FAA videos about drone safety, with their latest episode focusing on their connection. Their classmates are devastated by their loss but are determined to continue with the drone program as a tribute to their teachers. Pelletier was passionate about helping his students succeed and believed in each one of them.

The school is currently taking things one day at a time but hopes to continue the aviation program after everything is resolved. The fate of the last video produced by Pelletier and his students remains uncertain. The Middletown community has been deeply affected by the tragic accident, with many coming together to remember the bright and happy personalities of those lost in the crash.
