South Windsor police have charged Connor J. Brenan, 30, of Vernon, with fleeing the scene of a crash while driving under the influence. The incident occurred at the intersection of Ellington Road and Dart Hill Road around 3:40 p.m. on Friday. Brenan was also charged with operating under the influence, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, evading responsibility, and following too closely with an accident.
After finding Brenan’s abandoned vehicle at the scene, police located him in Vernon, where he failed subsequent Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash. Brenan was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is set to appear in Manchester Superior Court on September 23.
