A teenager on a bicycle was involved in a collision with a vehicle in Watertown on Sunday evening. The incident occurred on Straits Turnpike near G’s Burgers, where emergency crews responded to the scene around 7 p.m.
It is reported that the vehicle involved was stopped in the parking lot and waiting to pull out onto the road when the 15-year-old cyclist, traveling northbound on Straits Turnpike, entered the parking lot and struck the side of the stationary vehicle.
Despite the impact, the teenager was awake and responsive following the accident. However, as a precaution, they were taken to the hospital for injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.
