The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott have reached a historic agreement on a four-year, $240 million contract, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history with $231 million guaranteed. Prescott, a fourth-round pick in the 2016 draft, is entering his ninth season with the Cowboys. Last season, he set career highs in completions and touchdowns, leading Dallas to a 12-5 record. However, the Cowboys lost in the first round of the playoffs. Prescott’s new deal comes after a long negotiation process and follows receiver CeeDee Lamb signing a new contract. Both players are now signed through 2028. The Cowboys will face the Cleveland Browns in their Week 1 opener.
