San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot during an attempted robbery in Union Square on Saturday but is in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. The suspect in the incident was also shot with their own gun. The 17-year-old suspect from Tracy has been placed in custody, but no formal charges have been filed yet.
San Francisco Mayor London Breed, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, and Police Chief William Scott addressed the public stating that an investigation is ongoing and the suspect will be held accountable.
