A firefighter was injured while extinguishing a structure fire at a multifamily home in Beacon Falls on Saturday night. The Beacon Hose Co. responded to the fire on Highland Ave at 7:12 p.m. after reports of smoke coming from the third-floor windows. Fire crews were able to quickly contain the fire in the attic, preventing it from spreading further. All occupants of the building were safely evacuated, but one firefighter suffered injuries and was treated at the scene before being released. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Beacon Falls Fire Marshal’s Office.
