Before joining Fox61, Breton had worked with WCSH and WLBZ in Maine for over four years and had earned a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from Penn State University. He is also a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist and has received accolades such as an Excellence in Innovation Award and nominations for regional meteorologist Emmy Awards.
Fox61’s Chief Meteorologist, Rachel Frank, expressed her sadness at Breton’s departure, calling it bittersweet and wishing him the best in his future endeavors. Breton, a fan of the Patriots and Nittany Lions, has not yet revealed his plans for the future but promised to share more information soon. In a statement, he expressed his gratitude to his colleagues and viewers in Connecticut for their support during his time at Fox61.
