New Haven police are currently investigating a series of four shootings that occurred between Sunday afternoon and early Monday morning in the city. The first incident was reported at 3:15 p.m. on Elm Street, where a 35-year-old West Haven resident was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following this, at around 5:10 p.m., shots were fired at a tow truck driver in the area of Edgewood Avenue and Garden Street. A 35-year-old woman living on Garden Street reported that a bullet had gone through her door and hit her in the face, but she is also expected to survive.
Later that evening, at 9:45 p.m., a 41-year-old Branford resident was found to have been shot and taken to the hospital, although the exact location of the shooting is still unknown. Finally, at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, a juvenile girl was reported to have been shot and taken to the hospital as well.
Police are currently investigating all of these incidents and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding each shooting. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward and assist in the investigation. The victims in each of these incidents are expected to survive their injuries.
