In New Haven, a minor was critically injured in a bicycle accident on Saturday morning. The incident occurred on Forbes Ave around 11:15 a.m. Initially thought to be a motor vehicle accident, it was later determined that a juvenile had been involved in a bicycle accident.
Witnesses and video surveillance indicated that a black sedan was traveling west on Forbes Ave with two bicyclists holding onto the car’s front windows. One of the bicyclists, a male, lost control and fell, sustaining a serious head injury. The injured boy was rushed to Yale Pediatric Hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.
