Yesterday was a perfect day for boating on the Sound with comfortable humidity, low 80s temperature, and lots of sun. The conditions were also ideal for the bluefish tournament. Today is expected to be a bit less nice, with some wildfire smoke in the morning, afternoon clouds, and higher humidity, but only isolated showers are possible in the afternoon or evening.
Looking ahead, there is a chance of spotty thundershowers on Monday afternoon, followed by a dry Tuesday. However, more widespread showers and storms are likely on Wednesday with the approach of a cold front, with the weather drying out later in the week. The tropics are currently quiet.
Today is forecasted to be partly sunny, warm, and a bit more humid with the possibility of isolated showers in the afternoon or evening and highs in the low to mid 80s. Tonight will be partly cloudy, more humid, and not as cool with lows in the low to mid 60s.
Monday will bring a mix of clouds and sun, with warm and humid conditions and a chance of thundershowers in the afternoon, while Tuesday will be partly sunny, warm, and humid. Wednesday will be hazy and very warm with oppressive humidity and scattered late-day thunderstorms. Thursday will see a decrease in humidity with highs in the upper 70s, while Friday and Saturday will be partly sunny with a chance of showers and highs near 80.
