Wildfire smoke will linger in the air today and tomorrow with little shower and storm activity until later in the day. Hurricane Ernesto is expected to be a major Category 3 storm passing close to Bermuda on Friday night and early Saturday, posing a threat to East Coast open ocean beaches with huge waves and dangerous rip currents.
Early mornings will be mainly clear with some fog patches and temperatures in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Today will bring a mix of smoky sun and clouds, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s with low to moderate humidity.
Tomorrow, expect a mix of clouds and smoky sunshine with moderate humidity and temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Saturday will bring sun, increasing cloudiness, and higher humidity with scattered evening thundershowers and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy and humid with a chance of passing showers or storms and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Monday will bring more showers and storms with low 80s temperatures.
Tuesday will become partly sunny with less humidity in the afternoon and highs in the mid to upper 70s. Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the upper 70s and overnight lows in the 50s.
