Breeze Airways to Launch Service from Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) this Winter
Breeze Airways has announced plans to start service from Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) this winter, becoming the airport’s second airline partner. The low-cost airline will begin operating on Dec. 10, offering nonstop flights to Fort Myers, Florida, five times a week.
Following this, Breeze Airways will add flights to Orlando and West Palm Beach on Dec. 11, and Vero Beach on Dec. 13. In February, the airline will expand its destinations to include Charleston, Jacksonville, Norfolk, Raleigh-Durham, Richmond, and Sarasota-Bradenton. Tickets for these flights are currently available for booking until May 12, 2025.
Breeze Airways has also announced plans to expand its operations at Bradley International Airport (BDL) to include international flights by the end of the year. Tweed New Haven Airport already serves as the headquarters for Avelo Airlines, another budget-friendly airline that recently announced its own expansion plans at Bradley International Airport.
Tweed New Haven Airport recently received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to proceed with a modernization plan that includes lengthening the runway and building a new terminal. Breeze Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, Lukas Johnson, highlighted the airline’s growth strategy focused on the Northeast region due to the high population density and limited nonstop travel options in the area.
With the addition of Breeze Airways, Tweed New Haven Airport is set to become a key hub for budget-friendly travel options, offering a range of nonstop flights to popular destinations in Florida and beyond.
