Mookie Betts, the All-Star outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has once again opted not to stay at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee due to its reputation for being haunted. Instead, Betts chose to rent an Airbnb for the team’s stay in the city. This marks the second year in a row that Betts has avoided staying at the allegedly haunted hotel.
The Pfister Hotel has a history of spooking professional baseball players, with Bryce Harper, Delmon Young, and Mike Cameron also choosing to avoid staying there. Visitors have reported hearing footsteps, voices, and experiencing items moving around in their rooms.
Despite any fears Betts may have about ghosts, he didn’t let it affect his performance on the field. After missing two months due to a broken hand, the 31-year-old returned to play and hit a home run in the Dodgers’ 5-2 victory over the Brewers at American Family Field. Betts’ decision to avoid the haunted hotel certainly didn’t impact his game, as he played a key role in helping the Dodgers secure the win.
While Betts may be fearless in his approach to baseball, it seems he prefers to steer clear of spooky encounters off the field. Whether the rumors of ghosts at the Pfister Hotel are true or not, Betts has made it clear that he will continue to opt for alternative accommodations during the Dodgers’ visits to Milwaukee.
