Ninety-nine people displaced following apartment fire in Hartford, with more still awaiting assistance – NBC Connecticut


A fire broke out at the Concord Hills Apartments in Hartford on Saturday, displacing dozens of families. The Hartford Fire Department responded to the fourth-floor fire, which was contained to a single apartment unit. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

A total of 70 units were affected by the fire, leading to the displacement of 99 people from 51 apartments. Nearly 20% of the displaced residents are children. The remaining 19 units were unoccupied at the time of the fire.

As of Sunday night, all affected residents had been relocated, and authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire. The management of the apartment complex is working to assist those displaced by the fire.

The community has come together to support those impacted by the fire, with organizations and individuals offering assistance and donations to help the affected families as they work to recover from this unexpected tragedy.

The Hartford Fire Department is urging residents to prioritize fire safety in their homes and to have an emergency plan in place in case of a fire. They are also reminding everyone to check their smoke detectors regularly to ensure they are functioning properly.
