Connecticut residents were treated to a rare sight this morning as the Northern Lights were spotted in the state. An image captured on the way to work from Madison showcased the stunning natural phenomenon.
While the Northern Lights added a touch of magic to the morning, the weather for the day was expected to be quiet and comfortable, with passing showers and storms forecasted for the afternoon. The storms were predicted to move through quickly, with refreshing air and calm conditions expected through midweek. However, there were some PM storms expected later in the week.
In addition to the local weather, meteorologists were keeping an eye on future Hurricane Ernesto, which was expected to impact the northeastern Caribbean and Puerto Rico before turning north towards Bermuda.
The daily weather forecast for the upcoming days included a mix of sun and clouds, with passing afternoon showers or storms, followed by mostly sunny conditions and highs in the 80s. However, towards the end of the week, showers and storms were expected to develop, leading to increased humidity and thunderstorms over the weekend and into the beginning of the next week. Overall, residents were advised to enjoy the pleasant weather while it lasted and be prepared for some stormy conditions ahead.
