Connecticut State Police are currently searching for a man involved in an armed robbery in Mansfield that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The incident took place at a gas station on Stafford Road around 12:05 p.m., where the suspect, wearing a navy blue hoodie, black sweatpants, gloves, and a surgical mask, brandished a gun and stole approximately $700 in cash before fleeing on foot.
The suspect was last seen heading south on Route 32 near Pleasant Valley Road. A witness reported seeing a dark-colored pickup truck with a loud exhaust leaving the scene, possibly gray or blue in color. State police are urging anyone who spots a person or vehicle matching the descriptions provided not to approach them, but instead to immediately call 911 and report the information.
The investigation into the armed robbery is active and ongoing as authorities work to identify and locate the suspect. The Connecticut State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in providing any relevant information that may help in apprehending the individual responsible for the crime.
