The 2024 Paris Olympic Games are coming to an end with a traditional closing ceremony at the Stade de France. The ceremony will feature over a hundred performers and the theme is “Records.” It will include a parade of athletes, the lowering of the Olympic flag, and a host city handover from Paris to Los Angeles.
The closing ceremony will start at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, with a live pre-show at 2 p.m. ET on NBC. Viewers can stream the ceremony on NBC, Peacock, and NBC Olympics, as well as watch on their local NBC channel.
Hosts for the ceremony include Mike Tirico, Jimmy Fallon, Terry Gannon, Tara Lipinski, and Johnny Weir. Performers such as Snoop Dogg, H.E.R., Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, and Air are expected to take part, with rumors of Tom Cruise also appearing.
Flag bearers for Team USA during the closing ceremony will be swimmer Katie Ledecky and rower Nick Mead. Ledecky is the most decorated female Olympian of all time, while Mead won a gold medal in rowing.
The closing ceremony will also mark the handover of the Olympic flame to Stoke Mandeville for the Paralympic Games, with a Paralympic torch relay taking place in France. The ceremony is expected to last a little over two hours and showcase a celebration of this year’s Olympics and a look ahead to the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
