Police: Man who was shot in West Haven walked to gas station for help


Police in West Haven are currently investigating an early morning shooting incident that took place at a Citgo gas station on Elm Street. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. when officers received a report of a person being shot.

Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found a man on the floor with gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. The victim was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe that the man was shot on Elm Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue, after which he walked to the Citgo gas station to seek assistance. Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has surveillance footage of the area at the time of the incident to come forward and contact Detective Sgt.
