Police in West Haven are currently investigating an early morning shooting incident that took place at a Citgo gas station on Elm Street. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. when officers received a report of a person being shot.
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found a man on the floor with gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. The victim was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe that the man was shot on Elm Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue, after which he walked to the Citgo gas station to seek assistance.
