This morning saw a few showers and there will be a break in the action through midday. However, more showers and storms are expected to develop in the afternoon with bouts of heavy rain, especially in the evening and overnight. A FLOOD WATCH has been issued for the southern half of CT due to the potential for high rainfall totals. Residents are advised to watch out for low-lying areas or areas with poor drainage that may flood. Some showers will continue into Wednesday morning, with more possible in the afternoon. Rain associated with Debby is expected on Friday and Saturday, with the possibility of flooding. The weather will finally start to clear up on Sunday with more sunshine, and Monday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the low 80s. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s this afternoon, dropping into the 60s overnight and staying in the low to mid 70s on Wednesday. Thursday will see thundershowers late in the day with highs in the mid to upper 70s. The uncertainty on Thursday’s showers remains, but a lot of rain is predicted for Friday and Saturday.
