Weston resident creates co-ed sport, Triball, for tournament hosted in Norwalk – Thehour.com

Norwalk, CT – Norwalk will be hosting a tournament for Triball, a co-ed sport created by Weston resident, Emily Smith. The event, which is set to take place on Saturday, July 10th, is expected to draw participants from all over the state.

Triball is a fast-paced and action-packed game that combines elements of soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Players use their hands to hit a small ball into a goal, while also trying to defend their own goal from the opposing team. The game is played on a circular court with three goals, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement.

Smith, who came up with the idea for Triball while studying abroad in Australia, is excited to bring the sport to her hometown of Weston and to the greater Norwalk area. She believes that Triball is a unique and fun way for people to stay active and socialize with friends.

The tournament in Norwalk is open to players of all skill levels, making it an inclusive and welcoming event for anyone interested in trying out Triball. Teams can be made up of four to six players, and there will be both recreational and competitive divisions to cater to different levels of experience.

In addition to the tournament, there will be food trucks, music, and other activities for spectators to enjoy. The event promises to be a fun-filled day for players and fans alike.

Those interested in participating in the Triball tournament can sign up on the event website. Registration is open until July 5th, so be sure to secure your spot soon. Don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of this exciting new sport and support a local creator in the process.
