The Pentagon has revealed $2bn worth of additional errors in its calculations for equipment sent to Ukraine, bringing the total value of inaccurately tabulated materials to $8.2bn. The errors were attributed to using “replacement value” instead of “depreciated value.” Ukraine’s foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba has called on Hong Kong to prevent Russia from using the region to circumvent sanctions, during a meeting with Hong Kong leader John Lee. In Moscow, the head of the defense ministry’s construction division was detained for two months on suspicion of abuse of power.
Russian and Chinese bombers flew together for the first time off the coast of Alaska, raising concerns about their military cooperation. The Turkish navy intercepted a marine drone with explosives in the Black Sea, suspected to be Ukrainian. Debris from a Russian drone landed in Romania, and the Netherlands and Denmark announced they will deliver 14 tanks to Ukraine before summer.
